Risk context: give Strise's AI your team's risk guidance
Risk context lets a team give Strise's AI its own risk guidance. Write it by hand, or draft it from a policy file, and the AI summary in an assessment uses it.
Risk context is in Alpha. It is available only when Strise enables it for your team.

What a team writes in Risk context
Risk context lives under Settings, Risk context. It is shared team guidance for the Assessment summary, in three optional sections:
- Business context: what your business does and which customers, products or channels need extra care.
- Risk guidance: judgement the calculated risk can't capture, such as conditional exceptions.
- Investigation expectations: which evidence to ask for, and when.
Write each rule as a condition and an action, such as "When a customer is cash-intensive, ask for one month of receipts." The guidance can be up to 1,000 words, and a counter shows how many you have used.
Draft Risk context from a policy file
Select Import from file to have Strise draft or update the guidance from one file, your instructions, or both. Upload a PDF, XLS/XLSX, CSV, TXT or Markdown file of up to 10 MiB. An updated file proposes changes to the current text and keeps unrelated guidance.
The suggestion shows what it adds and removes, notes to check, and any rules that belong in Calculated Risk settings instead. Load it into the editor, adjust it and save it. Saved text from a suggestion carries the marker [AI-generated by Strise], and [AI-generated by Strise, edited by a user] once someone changes it.
How the AI assessment summary uses Risk context
When someone generates an AI summary in an assessment, Strise uses the saved guidance. It can inform explanations, follow-up and suggested disposition, and in recommended actions it comes before general advice. Suggestions that are not saved do not apply, and changing the guidance does not rewrite an existing summary.
Risk context never changes the calculated risk and never establishes facts about an entity. For how calculated risk orders your work, see risk-based onboarding queues and Monitoring sorted by risk.
Read about risk context in the Strise docs, or book a meeting if you want Risk context enabled for your team.
